ALLMAN'S POTTERY AUCTIONS
Welcome How to Register How to Bid Conditions of Sale How To Sell Guarantee Home

Terms:

1. MAXIMUM BIDS: Typically, the most effective bidding strategy is simply to bid the maximum amount you would pay for each auction lot. Your maximum can never be seen by other bidders including floor bidders on the day of the sale, where your maximum bid will compete until it either wins or is outbid.  Most proxy bidders win lots at well below their maximum bids.

2: BIDDING: Bids must be whole dollar amounts. Partial dollar amounts will not be accepted. Review your bid carefully before submitting it. Make sure that you are willing to pay the price you bid for this lot. If you make a mistake on your bid, you will have only one more chance to correct it before it becomes final.

4. PHOTOGRAPH: If this lot has a thumbnail photograph, click it for a more detailed view and description.

5. ABSENTEE BIDDING: Because bids come in via phone, Email, regular mail, etc., a tie for the high bid is possible. In the event of a tie for the high bid, the internet bidder wins by default.  If you wish to place an absentee bid, you should complete our Absentee Bid Form indicating your maximum bid on each item. You can return this form to us by mail or E-mail. Please allow 7-10  working days for surface mail. Absentee bids left with us are executed confidentially and competitively. If your maximum bid is $400 and the bidding stops at $150, the lower price is the selling price to you. However, you must be prepared to go as high as your maximum bid.  A member of our Auction staff sits at a table with a bid card and bids on your behalf as though you were sitting at the Auction. We never disclose to anyone any information about absentee bids.

6. TERMS: Cash, Travelers Checks, Money Orders, Cashiers Checks and Personal Checks are acceptable methods of payment. Personal Checks must clear 10 days before shipping. Payment must be received 7 Days after Auction.

7. SHIPPING/PACKING: Allmans Auctions can arrange for shipping of items purchased at the Auction. If you are unable to transport your purchases, shipments can be made via UPS or U.S. Postal Service. Please allow 10 days for processing and shipping. If you wish to pick-up your purchase in person, please bring your own packing material and boxes and be sure to pre-arrange a set time for said pick-up.

8. RESERVES: Unless otherwise indicated all lots in the Auction are offered without reserves. A reserve is the confidential minimum price established between Allmans Auctions and the Seller. If any lots in the Auction are offered with a reserve, the lots will be designated as such and buyers will act in accordance with said reserve price.

9.SALES TAX: All applicable local and state Sales taxes will be charged on the closing bid price. If the Purchaser has a certificate of Exemption of sales or other taxes from N.C. in which the Auction is held, such certificate of Exemption from tax should be presented to AllmansAuction at time of purchase, otherwise all applicable taxes will be collected by AllmansAuctions

10. UNPAID PURCHASES::
Purchases which are not paid for within ten days after Auction completion date will be relisted and a $10.00 resisting charge will be sent to Purchaser. The Purchaser will be blocked from bidding until payment is received.

11. PAYMENT FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY: If you are the successful bidder on a lot, payment is to be made immediately following the sale. Please contact Allman’s to make arrangements for payment. Methods of payment include cash, personal check, cashier's check, traveler’s check or money order. Allmans requires that purchases paid for by personal check be held for shipping until check has cleared.
